Tropical depression Alberto looked kind of ragged as it made landfall Memorial Day but it regained its form as it moved north. Winds remain near 35 mph and it certainly has that hurricane look! Is that an eye over Crawfordsville? Not exactly, but it kind of has that look. That is the center.
The remnants of Alberto will be approaching today. Localized flash flooding and an isolated weak tornado will be possible this afternoon into evening.
Today will not be a washout for most, but it could be in a few spots. Storms may fall repeatedly over the same spots, increasing flooding threats if that happens. The tornado threat, albeit slight, is real in this quadrant of an approaching tropical system, but any which develop should be weak and short lived.
