The promised parade of winter storms begins.
Cincinnati area:
Rain and snow will spread across the region Friday night into Saturday. Snow accumulations will mainly be less than an inch. Untreated roads and elevated surfaces, such as bridges and overpasses, may develop some slick spots before temperatures warm above freezing on Saturday.
Storm 1 is mainly rain in Cincinnati, ending as a little snow with very heavy snow toward Chicago. For storm 2 a week to 10 days from now it is too early to focus on a detailed track but storm 2 looks big and needs to be watched. Both look like major winter storms where the cold and snow is. Currently there is no sign of a direct snow hit on Cincinnati but that could change. Someone is going to get buried.
7 day liquid rainfall and melted snowfall forecast. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen this much precipitation across the US.
