While the weekly US Drought Monitor still shows dry conditions locally, the NWS Seasonal Drought Outlook does not show particularly dry conditions persisting during the spring.Â
Despite recent wet days, total rainfall has not been far from normal and certainly not enough to compensate for our annual defecit this year.

While 2009 has been rather dry thus far (click here for the latest drought monitor), two wet weather systems appear to be in our future for Good Friday and again early next week.Â
While most severe weather will stay to our south Friday, rainfall of in excess of one inch is expected. Another wet system will approach early next week. Easter weekend, on the other hand, looks beautiful, if a bit cool. Enjoy nature’s Easter flower display!
