A wetter weather pattern may help to ease the worsening drought for some

Call it cautious optimism but it appears possible that a wetter weather pattern may be transpiring over the next week or two.

Over the short term, a quarter to half inch of rain is possible in the Ohio valley Wednesday night.

Even more substantial rainfall could move in by early next week.

This wetter pattern would help to ease the worsening drought which has developed over a large part of the eastern US.

    1. Hey Tim,
Rainfall in the first 16 days of October was 1.03 inches. Through the 29th rainfall is 2.16 inches.
