I’m dreaming of a…warm Christmas? Yes. If you want a white Christmas, go west!

If you’ve been dreaming of a white Christmas, you are likely out of luck.

An exceptionally warm weather pattern is setting up for much of the country Christmas week, with the exception of the west coast where cold storms will be dumping snow on the ski resorts and possibly bringing flooding.

This energetic storm in the west will begin affecting points east as we move toward the new year with increasing precipitation.

Significant snow expected in Cincinnati Sunday evening, changing to rain overnight. Be aware if you plans this evening. Monday morning rush hour should be OK with some left over snow likely. Roads should be clear.

[548 am] Winter weather will occur across the region tonight. There could be a quick accumulation of snow during the evening so be aware if you have Sunday evening plans. While most precipitation is expected to end well before the Monday morning commute, there could still be slick spots at that time.

Most of the snow will fall between 6PM Sunday and midnight followed by a couple hours of rain. Temperatures will be near freezing so it will be a wet, sloppy snow. There will be plenty of time overnight for roads to be cleared before morning rush.
