Arbor Doctor owner Ron Rothhaas loves weather, an advantage in horticultural understanding and diagnostics. When the late March winter storm threatened, the National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH, thought it would be fun to have a “You be the Forecaster” contest. The evening before the storm, Ron posted his forecast for storm total snowfall for Dayton, Columbus, Wilmington, and CVG. He hit 2 locations correctly to the tenth of an inch, missed CVG by just 0.2 inch, and missed Wilmington by 1.5 inches.
